Detailed Time and Method Studies were performed for Production and Machine Change Overs. Clockworks Productivity Analyser was implemented in 1997 and the time standards set are used for performance measurement purposes as well as planning and costing puposes in the ERP System.

Barloworld Open Sections was the original manufacturer of cold formed steel sections in South Africa and has been trading in these products since 1957. This business is located in Elandsfontein, Gauteng Province and specializes in the production of a comprehensive range of both standard and special cold formed steel profiles.

Barloworld Robor Precision Tube has been manufacturing longitudinally welded steel tube from both cold and hot rolled steel since 1964. They service a wide spectrum of markets including the automotive, furniture, general engineering, shop fitting display, power generation, building and construction, mining, fencing, refrigeration, medical, garden tools and equipment and security industries.

Time Standards for Production and Machine Change Overs were derived from actual perfomance in the past. Clockworks Productivity Analyser was implemented in2002 at both the tube making and draw benching facilities. The time standards are used for performance measurement purposes as well as planning and costing purposes in the ERP System.
