Located in the Steelpoort Valley, about 300 km north east of Johannesburg, Tubatse
Ferrochrome produces high quality charge ferrochrome for international markets and
sintered chromite pellets for Samancor, Chrome’s Middelburg Ferrochrome operation.
All of the chrome ore processed at T.F. is supplied by nearby Eastern Chrome Mines,
another Samancor Chrome operation. T.F. is a Samancor Chrome operation and part
of BHP Billiton Stainless Steel Materials, the world’s second largest producer of
ferrochrome and fourth largest nickel producer.
