Active in over 50 countries, the Gypsum Division carries on industrial activity in twenty three countries (including consolidated companies as of 31-12-03). It has seventy four Industrial sites worldwide (including consolidated companies as of 31-12-03) with a plasterboard production capacity of 900 million square meters. Throughout the entire world they take part in the major construction sites for new construction and renovation work in both the housing and office sectors.

Consiliarii implemented systematic layout planning and simulation techniques which saved La Farge millions of rands. Significant improvements were made to material flow and the utilization of resources such as space, material handling equipment and storage methods. The study proved that the erection of a new plant was not necessary.
